Cases

On Units:

Stroke (CVA or Hemorrhagic), post TNK, seizure management, neuromuscular diseases, tumor resections, EVDs, lumbar drains, TBI, spine surgeries, other neurosurgical post-opsRatios: NSICU 1:2Types of patients the units see high volume of cases of: NSICU sees CVA , ICH, IVH, TBI.

Post-op neurosurgical cases, strokes, sz, neuromuscular diseases.

All agency nurses hired for facility and preassigned to neuro are expected to work NSICU & client depending on the needs of the unit.

NSICU is all ICU, 4W is ICU & SD.


Experience:
1 and half years plus experience as staff prior to travelAt least 2 years of Neuro SD/ Neuro ICU experienceRecent Neuro ExperienceCertification:Updated NIHSS Required
