    Position Description:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Manager/DevSecOps engineer to join our team. You will work with an operations team to manage and maintain the configuration of our software and hardware systems. You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and quality assurance teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of our products. The ideal candidate has a background in configuration management processes and tools, excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S, preferred location is Lafayette, LA.

    Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    -Ensure successful deployment and operation of software and hardware systems by collaboratively developing and implementing configuration management processes and procedures; and by maintaining and managing the configuration of software and hardware systems throughout the development lifecycle.
    --Conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration management processes to identify areas for improvement.
    --Monitor and track changes to software and hardware configurations, ensuring proper documentation and version control.
    --Collaborate with development teams to define and enforce configuration management standards and best practices.
    --Coordinate with system administrators to ensure proper deployment and configuration of software and hardware systems.
    --Assist development teams with the hosting platforms and tools. Such assistance may include providing log files or assistance in locating log information; performing deployments; updating configurations; assistance with tools managed by the team; and similar.
    --Assist security teams, development teams, and other stakeholders by providing information on the hosting platform, such as deployed and planned architecture, configurations, middleware, upgrades, and systems.
    --Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues, performance issues, and outages; and provide timely resolution.
    --Participate in performing patching and upgrades of system components.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    - 2 or more years proven experience as a junior DevSecOps admin, junior system admin, Configuration Manager, or similar role.
    - Experience with a command-line interface, preferably Linux
    - Experience working with Windows and Windows Server
    - Strong knowledge of configuration management processes and tools, such as Git, Subversion, or Jenkins.
    - Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices, such as Agile or DevOps.
    - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    - Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex systems.
    - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    - Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII) is a plus.
    - Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

    Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
    - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
