    Job Description:

    Our work depends on Software Developer joining our team to provide back-end developer technical expertise and solutions to support assessments of an internet-based social media program in Tampa, FL.

    The qualified candidate will join a cross-functional team filling a diverse set of requirements including: (1) designing, developing, and deploying technology solutions to support operational requirements, (2) designing, developing, & deploying technology solutions to support data collection, storage, and analysis requirements, (3) conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to support operational decision making, and (4) conducting program-level assessments.

    A successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in software design principles, data processing/management, translating technology requirements, and maintaining compliance standards.

    The work environment is fast-paced, fluid and highly collaborative, but requires candidates with skillsets to complete projects with minimal supervision.


    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN
    IMPACT:


    • Design and develop applications in short programming lifecycles to support dynamic operational requirements
    • Design and develop technology solutions to perform open-source data collection, processing and ETL, analytics and visualizations, etc.
    • Maintain deployed technologies to industry-standards including versioning, documentation, etc.
    • Maintain & expand a medium-scale, local and cloud-based system data collection, storage, and analysis platform
    • Translate user requirements and analyze capability gaps to identify evolving requirements
    • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, services, packages, and techniques to continuously improve team and operational capabilities

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO
    SUCCED:



    • Minimum Secret clearance required; accepted candidates will be submitted for TS/SCI. Active TS/SCI eligibility preferred. (If you do not have a current/active DOD Secret clearance, please do not apply)
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or closely related discipline
    • 3 years of related professional experience
    • 2 years' experience in software development with Python, including experience with at least one common IDE (Visual Studio/Spider/RStudio) and programming for different runtime environments
    • 1 years' experience using SQL-based RDBMS
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including writing & presenting technology requirements, capabilities, etc. to lay audiences
    • Experience using version control systems (i.e., Git)
    • Experience working independently across all phases of software development (i.e., requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, & maintenance)
    • Experience designing & developing data collection and processing applications
    • Familiarity with at least one other common programming language (i.e., , Java, JavaScript)
    • Familiarity with cloud-based (AWS) architectures and services
    • Experience creating and using REST API services including authentication (i.e., Oauth)

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience designing and maintaining RDBMS using PostgreSQL including the application of proper data modeling principles and database tuning at scale
    • Experience with Linux operating system
    • Experience with shell scripting (i.e., bash, PowerShell)
    • Familiarity of advanced data analysis techniques (i.e., natural language processing, machine learning, etc.)
    • AWS Associate Solutions Architect or Developer certification
