    Essential Function:


    The role of the Planner / Scheduler is to improve workforce productivity and work quality, by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through the planning and coordination of manpower, parts and materials, and equipment access.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Display a positive attitude and strong work ethics that reflect the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.
    • Reporting to the Senior Facilities and Maintenance Manager and maintaining liaison between the Units of Operations, Facilities, Maintenance and CZ, the Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of all plannable maintenance work performed via the Facilities and Maintenance groups.
    • The Planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files, and is the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) champion for the site.
    • Responsibilities include coordination of internal and external contract resources and managing some contract services.
    • The Planner is responsible for long-range as well as short-range planning, and the maintaining of the rebuild and PM kitting area.
    • The Planner needs to have strong computer skills, including MS Excel and Powerpoint.

Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.

    Qualifications:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (B. S.) with 8 years of experience specifically in electrical and with mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment or equivalent experience with a minimum of a HS diploma or GED.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years in a maintenance or planner / scheduler position.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 Years CMMS experience.
    • Demonstrated high level of knowledge in the MS Office suite of programs
    • Demonstrated project planning or management skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Must be able to work well with others in a manufacturing environment.
