    Our Loss Control Surveyors come from all walks of life. If you're an experienced inspector, we want to hear from you This is a great gig for retired insurance agents. If you don't have industry experience that is ok too. We have had great success partnering with those who have prior military service or firefighting experience. Construction and time in the trades also lends itself to loss control.     What does an Insurance Loss Control Surveyor do?
    Our surveyors meet with the policyholder to photograph and evaluate the overall condition of the insured's operations, buildings, and/or premises, and provide specific information to the insurance companies underwriters.
    • Scheduling appointments with property owners
    • Photograph and evaluate the overall condition of a building
    • Effectively communicating via phone, email, and face to face discussions
    • Observe commercial and residential properties for potential areas of risk
    • Complete a brief report of your observations and upload photos to the field service platform
    • Follow carrier instructions and maintain quality standards
    • Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
    • Local travel to perform field inspections
    Qualifications for the ideal Independent Contractor:
    • Car, Microsoft computer, smartphone, and reliable home internet
    • Observant and curious
    • Skills in time management and verbal/ written communications
    • Basic computer skills, typing, uploading, and downloading documents, email, Microsoft Outlook and Word, as well as using the internet.
    • Background in construction, fire & safety, hospitality, real estate or previous military service is beneficial, but not required.
    • Successful candidate must live in the geographic area advertised
