    Humu was founded in 2017; this year we raised a $60M Series C round and we're excited to grow our ~20-person engineering team.


    We have offices in both Mountain View, CA and Seattle, and for this role, expect a hybrid working environment to help with communication amongst the leadership team.

    Laszlo Bock, who's famous for creating Google's innovative culture as their head of HR, is our co-founder and we have some other really cool people too.

    Where you fit inAs an engineering manager at Humu, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers and overseeing the development of our cutting-edge technology.

    You will work closely with other managers and department heads to ensure that our engineering efforts align with the company's overall goals and objectives

    Your team will:
    Optimize, maintain, and support foundational systems in support of Operational Excellence.

    This would include initiatives such as increasing observability, and centralized tooling.
    Drive improvements in our developer toolkit to improve efficiency and engineering experience.

    Identify, implement, and support new engineering paradigms that accelerate the pace of innovationWork closely with Security, Data to help evaluate new vendors and technology platforms.

    What you'll get to work onIn this role, you'll be managing the day-to-day activities of your team, including setting goals and deadlines, assigning tasks, and providing support and guidance in support of achieving the team goals.


    You will also be responsible for hiring and training new team members, as well as evaluating the performance of existing team members and providing feedback and coaching to help them improve.

    In addition, you'll be contributing to the design and development of our technology.


    This would include participating in design and code reviews, and collaborating with other teams to ensure that our products are innovative, scalable, and easy to use.

    To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering, good product sense, as well as experience managing and leading engineering teams.

    You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization


    Salary range:
    $170,000
    - $210,000Only open to candidates in Seattle, WA or SF Bay Area, CA
