Description
SummaryThe Payroll Administrator position is responsible for the production and administration of the hourly payroll.
This person assists in the coordination of the daily payroll operation.
This position reports to the Payroll Manager and is responsible for maintaining payroll records, sending tax reports, preparing reports for management, as well as, communication with managers and employees.

Responsibilities
Payroll lead bi-weekly (responsible for processing hourly payroll from beginning to end)
Collect and validate employee data for input into the payroll system for pay calculation
Administer the processes to issue the physical paychecks and generate the payroll tax file
Balance payroll
Generate the GL accounting entries to accurately record the results of the payroll process
Send payroll reports to Benefit and Accounting departments
Administer the reporting and payment processes required to reimburse or set up the receivables from the employee
Process check requests for Accounts Payable Department
Administer federal mandated new hire reporting and WOTC reports
Assist outside agencies with information requests
Order supplies and distribute mail for the department
Assist in sending mail/checks on designated Thursday during main payroll
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to build relationships at all levels
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Ability to manage changing priorities
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages/ number comparisons and analysis
Ability to solve practical problems
Basic garnishment knowledge
Qualifications
High school diploma and at least three years of payroll processing and/or accounting related experience
