    About The Role:


    Are you a seasoned accountant ready to make a substantial impact? We're seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team, a role crucial to maintaining the financial health of our organization.

    As a Senior Staff Accountant at UU, you'll be an integral part of our finance department, contributing to our continued success in powering the nation's infrastructure.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Prepare and record journal entry transactions for various general ledger functions ensuring data accuracy.
    Perform balance sheet account reconciliations including bank account reconciliations.
    Prepare, record, and distribute intercompany related billings and allocation for various business units.
    Conduct various month-end and year-end closing processes including compilation of various internal and external financial reporting and metrics.
    Apply accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance as applicable.
    Prepare documents for audits and respond to associated requests.
    Work with the Accounting Manager to improve financial processes
    Other accounting duties as assigned

    Key Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
    Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).

    Must be able to produce work with a high degree of accuracy, individual should check work and perform self-reviews and checks for data accuracy.

    Ability to operate independently as well as in a team environment.
    Strong verbal and written communications skills

    Key Nice-To-Haves:
    Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
    Experience with financial software (e.g., SAGE).
