    Job Description

    Summary: Assists in the day-to-day operations of the tool room and prototype build departments. Reports directly to the Engineering Manager and executes duties as assigned. Duties will vary daily depending on needs. On-the-job training will be provided for entry level candidates as needed.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

    *Weld, assemble and fabricate equipment with minimal direction

    *Assemble and test prototype fuel rails and pipes

    *Assist in engineering projects

    *Assemble electrical cabinets & wiring from wiring schematics

    *Layout, specify and assemble hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

    *Read prints including GD&T

    *Surface plate layout

    *Work overtime as required to support production equipment needs

    *Go for part runs on short notice (must hold a valid driver license and be able to operate company vehicles safely)

    *Update and maintain work requests

    *Maintain safety protocols when building equipment

    *Use micrometers, calipers, and scales

    Education/Experience:

    Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. Trade school certificate in machine build / fabrication or proof of equivalent machine building experience are preferred, but not required.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English. Applicant must be able to communicate verbally in English to support work duties.

    Supplies required:

    Applicant must be willing to supply or to purchase own hand tools, related supplies, micrometers, calipers, scales, and basic machinists' tools as required to complete job functions.

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the environment is moderate and may require ear protection at times. Safety glasses are required in all work areas.
