    Purpose:


    Eddie Bauer is seeking a Temp-Social Media Specialist to collaborate with marketing and creative teams to enhance the brand and build strong online communities through the various Eddie Bauer social channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Meta, X (Twitter) and TikTok.

    Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, the Social Media Specialist will be in-tune with the modern-day social media landscape.

    They have a strong understanding of social media trends and how to execute them while engaging digital audiences.

    They will collaborate on strategy, content creation, and day-to-day channel and community management Ideal candidates are passionate consumers of social media and know what it takes to make compelling social-first content, with an emphasis on short-form video.

    This position is temporary leave of absence coverage.
    Job Responsibilities
    Drive best-in-class organic social strategy and culture-forward content with brand fans.
    Work closely with Senior Social Media Manager to develop, plan, and execute monthly content calendars.
    Own day-to-day operations of Eddie Bauer social media channels including posting cadence and community management.
    Create, edit, publish engaging written, video, and photo content for social channels (IG, FB, TW, TikTok)
    Write clean, clear social copy with authentic brand voice.
    Attend on-site studio and location photo and video shoots with Senior Social Media Manager for social content capture.
    Identify, adopt, and execute to current / viral social media trends – in the moment.
    Feel comfortable being on-camera for Reel/TikTok content.
    Monitor UGC and request permission to leverage content.
    Monitor and coordinate outreach and shipping products to content creators and influencers. Maintain an active list of potential influencer partners for brand gifting program.
    Research and monitor benchmark trends from competitors and audience preferences at a platform level.
    Participate in social brainstorms and TikTok meetings and make suggestions based off analytics and past-content performance.
    Attention to detail, adherence to deadlines and timelines.
    Qualifications
    Education/Experience Required
    Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
    2+ years of previous social media and/or creative marketing experience.
    Naturally curious, idea generator, and avid user of social media platforms. Eagerness to explore emerging platforms
    Knowledge of consumer behavior and trends in social content and how to apply them to Eddie Bauer's brand.
    Strong understanding of how to shoot and/or design content that feels authentic for specific social platforms.
    Knowledge of various creative and management tools such as Canva and Later.
    Ability to navigate both the creative and analytical sides of social media.
    Ability to brainstorm new ways to bring the brand to life on social media.
    Works well with a team while also being able to multi-task, prioritize and work independently
    Demonstrated experience with social media management tools such as Dash Hudson and Emplifi.
    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a contract position for 40-hours a week. Eddie Bauer operates on a hybrid model, 3 days in office at our Seattle Headquarters.
    Travel may be required, based on business needs.
    Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
    Must have authorization to work in the United States.
    Physical Requirements

    Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

    Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
    Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
    Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
    Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
