Job summary
The purpose of this position is to provide instructional support to the English Language teacher (EL) and classroom teachers. This position will assist in supporting the instruction of ELs in the classroom; and assist in bridging communication between home and school and to support the students' understanding of their new environment by respecting dual language/dual cultural experiences.- Demonstrate competency in English and at least one other language.
- Promote effective communication between school personnel and EL families.
- Support academic instruction of EL students by implementing teacher-guided strategies, utilizing established classroom accommodations and documenting student progress.
