Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forge Maintenance Technician to support production equipment reliability, plant operations, and manufacturing efficiency. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
This position works closely with maintenance leadership, production teams, and engineering to maintain operational uptime and equipment capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance tasks
- Maintain plant equipment, facilities, and machinery
- Support production teams by ensuring equipment readiness
- Communicate repair status and completion updates to leadership
- Assist with planned maintenance and production changeovers
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve equipment reliability
- Participate in training and knowledge sharing within maintenance teams
- Follow safety procedures, rules, and compliance standards
- Maintain organized work areas and tools
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent OR
- Associate Degree in Applied Science (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Electronics, Automated Manufacturing) OR
- Equivalent hands-on maintenance technician experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing operations
- Working knowledge of:
- Compacting
- Forging
- Deflash
- Double disk grinding
- Shot peen
- White light inspection
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Basic hydraulic knowledge
- Electrical maintenance experience
- Ability to work onsite full-time
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience in automotive or metal production facilities
- Familiarity with inspection systems and automated processes
- Experience with magnetic particle inspection, dip tank operations, or video inkjet systems

- Must live within commuting distance or relocate independently
