Assembler - 1st Shift

1st shift Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm

Assemble various models of product while working at a bench or on the shop floor by performing the following duties.

Assemble parts according to standard work / job breakdown sheets of unit being assembled, bill of materials and work order instructions, and assembly drawings

• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners according to torque specifications
• Operates pneumatic and manual presses to assist in assembly operation, which includes setting up the presses
• Set-up and operate identification equipment (stampers, labelers, etc.)
• Test product for compliance to meet specifications using manual and automatic test equipment
• Keep Team Lead informed of mechanical/machine malfunctions or any supplies/tools needed
• Follow all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment

Minimum of six (6) months Assembly or related experience preferred

• add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Language skills:
read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, etc. knowledge of industrial communication and protocols.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet/exceed performance parameters.
• Familiar with 6s and supporting process improvements preferred.
• Effectively and safely uses precision tools, machinery, and equipment.
