- Employee Relations:
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies to promote a positive work environment.
- Policy and Procedure Management:
- Ensure consistent application and adherence to company policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Assist in the development and updating of HR policies and procedures.
- Educate employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees and between employees and management.
- Provide coaching and counseling to employees and managers to address performance and behavioral issues.
- Recommend and implement solutions to resolve workplace conflicts and improve employee relations.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations cases and investigations.
- Prepare and present reports on employee relations trends, issues, and resolutions to senior management.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, and HR policies.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management and employee development.
- Assist in the design and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
- HR Support:
- Collaborate with HR team members on various HR projects and initiatives.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process by providing guidance on employee relations matters.
- Participate in exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employee relations or a related HR role.
- Proven experience in conducting investigations and resolving employee issues.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to other company locations or events.
- May require working extended hours to address urgent employee relations issues.
