Store Clerk - Columbus

Job summary

The store clerk reports directly to the store manager and indirectly to both the assistant store managers and shift leaders. This position is responsible for duties such as cashiering, stocking, cleaning, and monitoring perishables.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards including but not limited to minimum transaction time per item rate and accurate handling/counting of cash EBT debit cards credit cards WIC vouchers gift cards coupons checks

• Follows all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies Consistently meets or exceeds set standards involving the handling stocking maintaining grocery frozen dairy smoked meat perishable products Assists with unloading delivery trucks Stocks product on platforms shelving peg hooks in baskets refrigerated cases as needed Handles power non-powered equipment hand tools move stock properly trained Retrieves carts parking lot Maintains excellent store conditions Maintains safe clean working environment Completes cleaning duties assigned floors windows display cases shelves register area backroom restrooms parking lot fixtures Provides excellent customer service communicates friendly courteous manner Assists store management training other team members Maintains proper rotation dated undated products Ensures products price tags signs displayed company guidelines Protects company property funds merchandise Properly displays trims packages fills authorized fresh produce Assists fresh meat personnel needed Performs other duties other areas assigned

• Must be 18 years age older High School diploma equivalent preferred Proven efficient retail sales experience experience dry grocery perishable meat general grocery cash management About You
