    Job Description Job Description OverviewOur client is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Geriatric Medicine physician to join our Asbury Health Partners team located in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

    Key ResponsibilitiesProvides general medical direction and supervision of the medical aspects of participant careResponsible for the delivery of participant care, clinical outcomes, and oversight of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) programResponsible for the development and maintenance of medical policies and procedures/standards and protocolsProvides direction and supervision to related Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and APPsProvides leadership and guidance to the program colleagues and providers in the local communityConducts history and physical on new participants and event-based and periodic reassessmentsInterviews and evaluates applicants to PACE Organization and their caregivers and participates in the Intake and Assessment decisionDiscusses each participant's medical conditions and prognosis with him/her and their caregiver to assist them in expressing their wishes and planning their future careExecutes assignments in a culture that is shared and collaborative across all divisions within TH PACECollaborates in the nursing treatment program of participantsEstablishes and/or maintains as a member of the leadership team a plan to achieve operating goalsParticipates as an active member of PACE Organization interdisciplinary team.

    Educates and advises the team regarding the implications of diagnoses, cognitive and physical function and treatment optionsParticipates in team and family conferences and decision-making processesEducates participants and families regarding health maintenance and their chronic medical conditions, in cooperation with nursing staffSupervises the health care and treatment program as developed by the interdisciplinary teamPerforms physical examinations, orders and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests, and records results in a systematic mannerParticipates in provider on-call rotation as requiredDesire to work in a creative alternate health care settingAble to manage changing priorities according to participant needsMinimum of 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly population is required Schedule and Shift DetailsOffice hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am 4:30 pm.

    The practice provides 24-hour, on-call coverage to ensure that Asbury residents are able to reach a skilled provider regardless of when a health issue arises.

    TravelWillingness to travel within the region periodically as needed *Salary range:
