This position is part of the Security and Intelligent Documents, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.

Responsibilities Oversees routine daily operations to ensure analysis and documentation of all manufacturing waste from passport and secure card production.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the Lead Document Inspection Technician, PG , you must meet the following requirements:
To qualify for the Lead Documents Inspection Specialist PG-09, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-08 grade level in a fast-paced, lean manufacturing and continuous process environment that includes: 1) Use of quality assurance methods, principles, and practices including statically analysis and sampling techniques 2) Interpreting and applying product specifications, technical data, regulations, and other guideline materials.

OR Possess a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, related to the work of the position OR Possess 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or LL.B.

or J.D., if related- leading to such a degree related to the work of the position, OR Possess a Combination of education and Specialized experience that equals 100%.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (05/23/2024) to be considered. GRADUATE EDUCATION:

One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study.

If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.

FOREIGN EDUCATION:

If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.

education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Background Investigation:

For a Secret Clearance:
To ensure the accomplishment of its mission, the GPO requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy; this position requires a Non Critical sensitive

• Secret clearance.

To meet those standards, all selected applicants must undergo and successfully completed a background investigation for a Non Critical Sensitive-Secret clearance.

This review could include financial issues such as delinquency in the payment of debts, child support and/or tax obligations, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs; this security process may take between 6 weeks to 12 months.

GPO will conduct an interim security clearance, pending the completion of the full investigative requirements for the final Secret clearance.

The interim security clearance will be granted based on the favorable completion of preliminary checks that are accomplished as part of the security clearance process.

The Agency may rescind the tentative offer if the candidate is unable to obtain an interim clearance. The selectee will work Shift 1, 4/10 hour days from 7AM-5:15PM. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
