    What we do:


    The Configuration Management Specialist, as part of the configuration & data management (CDM) team, develops lean, compliant CDM processes for deployment across the ETD organization.

    This role is a key member of the Systems Engineering team conducting parametric, engineering buildup weight, cost and schedule assessments, trade studies, and estimates related to air vehicle development & manufacturing.

    Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of our core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.


    What you can do:


    Provide configuration and data management (CDM) support for multiple vehicle programsDevelop plans to implement CDM requirements on programsEstablish, utilize, and maintain engineering and configuration and data management proceduresEstablish and maintain required configuration recordsOperate, input, and manage configuration and documentation status using electronic systemsPrepare and ship data items in accordance with contract requirementsPrepare letters of transmittalGather and provide necessary data and engineering items to support technical meetingsSupport Systems Engineering with the management of requirements and critical program dataSupport program management and engineering staff in the utilization of database tools and processesEvaluate and contribute to new business and program proposals assuring engineering configuration and engineering data management requirements are properly scoped and risks mitigatedRepresent CDM discipline to other business units as the first point of contact for process implementation and staffingProvide direction to peers as well as cross-functional teamsPropose, coordinate, and incorporate updates to enterprise processes and tools regarding CDM criteria as compliance requirements evolve, while assuring tool and multi-discipline platform constraints are mitigated and opportunities maximizedEnsure documented procedures (document formats, approvals, release checklist, etc.)

    are consistently adhered toMay require up to 10% of domestic and international travelOther duties as assignedWhat you can contribute:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field required; Masters degree preferredMinimum of three (3) years of experience in configuration management (an equivalent combination of education experience may be considered)

    Experience with aerospace-related ISO and/or FAA compliant configuration management processesAbility to review and assess data integrity against standards, and train others to understand and adhere to those standardsDesire to participate in CDM Certification ProgramExcellent communication, negotiation & presenting skillsCritical thinker, adept at relationship building and leading through influenceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive delivery of communication and follow upExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailMust have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraintsProficient with Microsoft Office products, and comfortable learning new databasesExperience utilizing databases to manage technical and engineering dataYou may also be able to contribute:

    Experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool (i.e., ENOVIA, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.) preferredExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Tool (i.e., SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferredExperience in requirements management preferredAny offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check.
