    Aircraft Structures Lead Description

    Provide leadership for mechanics. Work on all minor through major repairs, modifications, , etc. Monitor and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to insure safety and timely delivery.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • High proficiency in all minor through major repairs, modifications, , etc.
  • Highly proficient with forms.
  • Establish work priorities and supervise the work of up to 15 mechanics.
  • Effectively interact with customer representatives. - All other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year related aviation sheet metal experience and/or training.
  • Hold a minimum of an airframe (A) license.
  • May or may not have a powerplant (P) license
  • Previous experience in warehousing, handling inventory, and bar code equipment
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.
  • Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near <20", far > 20', and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥4', working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
  • Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry ≤50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
