    Assistant Divisional Controller

    Direct Hire

    $65-75k + bonus

    4 days on site

    Location: Dearborn, MI

    Must Haves:

    • Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance
    • 3-5+ years of general accounting
    • ERP experience
    • Manufacturing/construction/logistics
    • Full-cycle accounting

    Preferred:

    Assistant Divisional Controller

    The Division Assistant Controller will:

    • Maintain accurate accounting systems, records, and standards
    • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures for the accounting process
    • Assist with monthly and year end closings for multiple companies
    • Manage the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for multiple companies
    • Review accruals and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy
    • Account for fixed assets and performs monthly lease liability analysis
    • Perform monthly quality checks to ensure no items are missed before final results are published
    • Work with controller and operations to develop and evaluate budgets and business plans
    • Utilize EPM/Hyperion financial reporting for trend/variance analysis
    • Utilize financial data and analysis to assist operations with problem solving and decision-making processes
    • Maintain proper internal controls in accordance with accepted accounting standards
    • Assist with site audits to ensure financial and operational processes are functioning as intended
    • Perform special projects, studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Skills

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • The ideal candidate will have: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum of three to five years of accounting experience
    • Strong cost and general accounting skills
    • Solid understanding of accounting principles and ERP systems, Oracle experience preferred
    • Critical thinking and analytical skills that reflect ability to analyze a broad range of issues and provide solutions
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prepare compelling presentations
    • Ability to work cross functionally and reach win-win solutions
    • Experience in related industry (construction, manufacturing, logistics) with job costing experience a plus
    • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office products, especially Excel
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats including individually and in group settings
    • Ability to Lift up to 20 lbs.
    • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
    • Valid drivers license
    • The ideal candidate will have experience with: EPM Cloud/Hyperion Reporting
