    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Medical Oncology (Med/Surg Tele) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, oncology background, and prior travel assignment experience.

    Responsibilities
    Work in an Adult Medical Oncology telemetry unit (Med/Surg Tele) within a large academic hospital setting (500+ bed facility)
    Patient population includes adult oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), CAR-T, hematologic and solid tumor malignancies, and acute care telemetry patients
    Chemotherapy is administered on the unit; travel nurses are not required to administer chemo
    Alaris pumps are used on the unit
    Epic EMR is used (experience preferred)
    Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
    Every other weekend required
    Holiday coverage as needed by the unit
    No on-call requirements
    Care for adult oncology patients including those undergoing bone marrow transplant, CAR-T therapy, and treatment for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies
    Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
    Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month

    Requirements
    Active RN license — Maryland license or Compact RN license currently in hand
    Current BLS certification required
    Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
    Oncology nursing background required
    Telemetry experience required
    1–2 prior travel assignments required
    Experience in a comparable large hospital setting (500+ beds) required
    Chemo certification preferred
    SSN and DOB required for consideration
    1 professional reference required for consideration
