    Job Description

    We are thrilled to welcome a new addition to our team as a CNC Operator at MAC Trailer. As a CNC Operator, you'll be working with precision and focus to operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery for various functions. This role is crucial as it deals with shaping challenging materials that can't be handled manually. CNC Operators are skilled professionals who excel at working meticulously to ensure top-notch quality parts and materials.

    Shift hours are from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5:30 pm with the possibility of overtime.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operate CNC machines for tasks like drilling, grinding, and milling
    • Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand task specifications
    • Convert instructions into computer commands for the machines
    • Load raw materials onto the machines and conduct test runs
    • Supervise machine operations, make adjustments for better results
    • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
    • Maintain and check machinery for optimal performance
    • Communicate concerns and important information to supervisors
    • Keep work area clean and organized
    • Assist colleagues as needed
    • Perform assigned duties from supervisors

    Requirements:

    • Ability to interpret detailed drawings and measurements
    • Willingness to work various shifts based on production demands
    • Capacity to work independently or in a team
    • Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM Software
    • Familiarity with CNC G-Code/M-Mode Programs and tool setup
    • Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
    • Attention to detail and results-oriented mindset
    • Effective communication skills

    Education and Experience:

    • Prior experience in tractor trailer building or manufacturing is preferred
    • Experience as a CNC operator
    • High school diploma or equivalent; engineering certificate is a plus

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Physical agility to inspect work and handle materials
    • Capability to work in a manufacturing setting
