Job DescriptionGeneral Accounts Payable Manager WantedDo you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring smooth financial operations? Are you a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment?
In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our vendors.
You'll be a key player in maintaining strong vendor relationships and streamlining our financial processes.Responsibilities:
Management:
Lead and manage a team of AP specialists (if applicable)
Develop and implement efficient AP processes
Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews
Vendor
Management:
Review and approve vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness
Maintain positive relationships with vendors and address any concerns
Negotiate payment terms and discounts (if applicable)
Payments:
Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors according to established terms
Process and reconcile bank statements
Reporting & Compliance:
Generate accurate and timely AP reports
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting regulations
General:
Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting software and best practices
Assist with month-end closing procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable management.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements.
Proven experience in managing and leading a team (if applicable).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
