- Diagnosing sources of pain resulting from injuries, diseases, or disabling conditions
- Assessing and treating patients with physical or cognitive impairments, musculoskeletal or neurological issues
- Developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed
- Providing tools to enhance patient health and functionality
- Counseling patients and families, supporting lifestyle adjustments
- Offering guidance to long-term care recipients
- Understanding of geriatric and post-acute medical practices
- Familiarity with medical regulations and quality control standards
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergencies
- Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and interpersonal skills
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree
- Prior experience in geriatrics and post-acute care preferred
- Experience with EHR documentation
- Proficiency in documentation and billing, especially in hospital settings
- Positive attitude, dedication to quality care, and teamwork mindset are crucial
- Valid medical practice license in the relevant state
- Certification by The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
- Current DPS and DEA certificates or in progress
- Ability to interpret and communicate medical information effectively
- Proficiency in speaking before various audiences
- Proficiency in basic mathematical operations
- Ability to solve problems with multiple variables
- Clinical environment with exposure to various medical conditions and substances
- May involve interactions with individuals in distress
