    The Materials Planner handles end to end planning of inventory in excess of invoicing, from purchase requisition to customer invoice, assisting internal customer service inquiries.

    In this role, you will set inventory parameters and inventory targets, while making sure that there is adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

    You will be responsible for executing the activities necessary to create a daily production schedule with responsibility to maintain goals in customer service, COTD, lead times and fill rates while balancing factory production efficiency.

    Also, perform procurement tasks as assigned by SCM (Supply Chain Management) (example, sourcing, pricing, planning/scheduling and expediting). You will also be responsible for scheduling daily work for plant while maintaining work center capacities.

    Your responsibilities

    Promotes/supports plant safety efforts with the highest priority
    Works with production supervisors to efficiently schedule the die cast and rotor departments
    Will be assigned various aspects of procurement including supplier development, sub contracting, order processes and processing, including resolving order issues as assigned by SCM to support production planning
    Works with existing suppliers and participates in the development of new supplier relationships
    Develops future requirement forecasts to assure reliable supply chain performance
    Provides assistance to all raw material/WIP (Work In Process ) warehousing and shipping/receiving functions as required
    Continuously work to resolve blocked invoice issues and work with suppliers to meet OTD (On Time Delivery ) goals

    Your background

    High School diploma is required with minimum 0 to 3 years of experience.
    Bachelor's or Associates' Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
    Working knowledge and proficiency in SAP systems
    Effective verbal and written skills
    Independent analysis/decision making capabilities
    Verifiable history of customer focus
    Able to work effectively in a team oriented environment
    Extensive knowledge of bill of materials and routings, preferably in BUS
    APICS CPIM or an aggressive plan for achievement of certification preferred
    Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
