The Opportunity

Lose It! for Android has been a fixture in the Google Play Health & Fitness category for years, boasting over 100k daily active Android users. To continue enhancing our app and remain at the Android forefront, we frequently adopt the latest platform capabilities.

As a Principal Software Engineer on the Android team at Lose It!, you will play a key role in designing and introducing new features, products, and capabilities to our mobile app. We believe in the potential of small, skilled teams to achieve remarkable results, therefore, we seek someone who can contribute across all stages of product development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple teams in setting strategic goals, project delivery, and driving business growth
Collaborate with engineers and teams to craft and upkeep features, products, and capabilities using Kotlin along with legacy support for Java
Innovate our code base with technologies like coroutines and JetPack Compose
Address challenges, enhance quality, and adapt swiftly to change
Lead feature development discussions and actively participate in team meetings
Independently manage and complete tasks
Be open to giving and receiving feedback, including peer code reviews
