DISPATCHER, FULL-TIME

Transportation Department

260 Day Work Calendar

5:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., 8 hours per day M-F

Overtime Eligible

United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers of America Bargaining Unit

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent with post secondary education preferred
• Valid Ohio CDL Class B license or better with endorsements SP as a minimum
• Current abstract from Bureau of Motor Vehicles without violations preferred
• Working knowledge of procedures used with transporting students
• Knowledge of surface streets geographical and landmarks in our district
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with deadlines
• Demonstrate working knowledge of computers and relevant software (such as:

word processing, email, database, spreadsheet, transportation routing, field trip

management, fleet maintenance, boundary planning)

• Available to work frequent overtime hours as needed to support transportation
• Demonstrate exceptional phone, radio and customer service skills in a

professional manner to maintain a positive relationship with staff, students and

community

• Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and

in writing

• Good health, physical stamina, fitness and vitality and attendance record
