- Main Responsibilities:
- Following shipment procedures
- Ensures all shipment procedures are followed in accordance to customer requirements
- Ensures all Forklift Operators are trained in procedures and follow them
- Delegation and Coordination
- Ensures all Forklift Operators know their work responsibilities
- Proper Training of new hires in
o Areas of inventory knowledge
o Inventory locations
o Dock and Fork Lift/Clamp Truck Operations
o Safety
o Warehouse policies and procedures - Communication between other Warehouse Team Leads
o Provides written and verbal communication to other team leads to provide coordinated efforts for highest department efficiency - Preparing finished product to ship to customer
o Adheres to performance standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count)
o Prints Bills of Lading - Ensures good housekeeping within the warehouse
- Others as needed
o Must be able to drive yard tractor so as to move trailers to dock - Following procedures
- Accidents
- Reports
- Correct Shipment (correct quantity/right time)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing or distribution
- Min 2 years of experience as Forklift Operator preferred
- Certified Forklift Operator
- Computer skills
- Lead skills
- Safety awareness and quality consciousness
