Position: Surgical Technologist

Company: Sanford Medical Center Fargo

Location: Fargo, ND

Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts

Job Schedule: Full-time

Department Details:

We are a 16 bed Operating Room spread over two floors, focusing on surgical care for both adult and pediatric patients.
Supporting various surgical specialties such as General, Trauma, Bariatrics, Urology, among others.
This role involves a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 11 am to 7:30 pm, with one on-call shift per week and a monthly weekend on-call rotation.
Newly graduated surgical technologists are encouraged to apply, regardless of certification status.

Job Summary:

Integral part of the surgical care team, assisting in delivering high-quality care and service excellence at Sanford.
Works under the supervision of surgeons and other licensed professionals to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile and safe operating room environment.
Demonstrates knowledge in asepsis, sterile technique, human anatomy, and surgical procedures to assist in invasive medical procedures.
Participates in safety measures, maintains sterile fields, prepares surgical environments, and may assist in patient preparation.
Responsible for instrument handling, quality assurance checks, supplies management, and assistance during surgeries.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology school.
State and national certification as a Surgical Technologist required at the start of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 60 days of employment.
New graduates are welcome to apply, with or without National Certification.
