TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a Medical Assistant for a hospital in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an Ob/Gyn setting. Must have an active Medical Assistant certification. Responsibilities include rooming and preparing patients for provider examination, collecting health histories and chief complaints, collecting and documenting vital signs, BMI, and height/weight, administering immunizations and injections, documenting current medications and allergies, collecting patient specimens for laboratory testing, call in and/or send electronic prescription refills, keeping rooms stocked with supplies, and coordinating patient care. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred and experience with EPIC is required.

Skills/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ob/Gyn experience required.
• EPIC experience
• Bilingual preferred
• Must have one of the following Certifications or Registrations:
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

8am-4:30pm Saturday

***May need to rotate to the Woodlands clinic. Advance Notice would be provided in that case***
