Description

We provide customers with products and solutions within Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Service & Repair.
We are currently looking for a Mobile Buyer to join the procurement team and learn purchasing and inventory control within our Mobile Hydraulic business unit located in Savage, MN.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the execution of procurement processes to maximize customer on-time delivery while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Regularly maintain Trend inventory master and warehouse recordsCommunicate to suppliers and execute supply chain management per SunSource "Best Practices" and buyer expectations document.
Process supplier returns/credits for defective, obsolete, and excess materials where appropriate.Proactively manage excess and obsolete material in a team environmentServe as conduit for communication between SunSource and Supplier.
Schedule and organize cadence/escalation meetings as needed. Engage in instructor/self-guided training to obtain/refresh skills.
All other duties as assigned by manager.
Experience, Education and Skills:
High School Diploma is required. Associated degree or better is preferred. 1+ years' experience working in procurement / inventory control as a buyer or similar position. Experience working within an industrial distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge of products and components in hydraulic / fluid power / off-highway mobile equipment is a plus. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Able to operate typical equipment found in an office environment including computers and phones. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office fluency including Excel and Outlook. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to learn complex processes quickly.
