    We are searching for a motivated leader for the Director of Surgical Services position for an acute care facility in Phoenix, AZ.
    Job Summary

    The Director of Surgical Services is tasked with establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, standards, and objectives, while also overseeing staff and workflow. This role entails fiscal responsibility, ensuring effective operation of the Nursing department around the clock. The Director leads in line with the hospital's mission and vision, prioritizing patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and the community. Continuous assessment, improvement, and coordination of department services are key, integrating them seamlessly into the hospital's primary function. Additionally, responsibilities include approving timekeeping, conducting employee evaluations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, overseeing supply orders, and strategic planning for the department.

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations. Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Personal computer skills required. Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers. Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Computer skills required.
  • SUPERVISES: Nursing staff.
  • THE DIRECTOR SURGICAL SERVICES FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management or related field, or equivalent minimum experience requirements.
  • PREFERRED EDUCATION: MSN.
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five years experience in nursing management in a hospital setting with three years supervisory experience required.
  • REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.
  • REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING: For Wound Care: Trainilng in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider.
  • PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: For Wound Care - WOCNSalary Base: $135K - $155K
