Job summary
The Material Handler / Receiving Associate supports the woodworking production floor by safely receiving, organizing, and delivering lumber,
sheet goods, hardware, and components.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments of lumber,
sheet goods, hardware, and finished components;
verify quantities and inspect for defects,
mM & enter receiving data into the ERP or inventory system - >Label
bins or climate-controlled areas to maintain material quality - >Stage
>Handle sheet goods
& lumber safely using forklifts,,, pallet jacks,,,, carts,,, panel-handling equipment.- >Maintain organized lumber racks,,,, hardware bins,,,,
>Perform cycle counts <> assist with inventory audits for lumber,,,hardware,,, Communicate shortages,,, defects,,,,or quality concerns to Purchasing,, Production,,or Quality teams.li >>Prepare outgoing shipments,,,,,,,, including packaging finished wood products t<> prevent damage during transport./li > - Follow all safety procedures,,,,,,,, including PPE use..... equipment operation guidelines.....safe lifting techniques/li >>Support continuous improvement efforts related t<> material flow... storage optimization....inventory accuracy/
