    Position Summary

    The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a critical member of the sales team, responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening key customer relationships. This role requires expertise in diesel engine parts sales, strategic account management, and market expansion. The BDM will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance MemoParts' market presence and increase sales across various industries, including commercial rental equipment, construction, oil & gas, and ground support.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and meet/exceed sales targets.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple industries.
    • Manage and grow relationships with key customers, fostering long-term partnerships.
    • Understand and communicate MemoParts' value proposition to customers.
    • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce, PowerBI) to track sales activity and identify opportunities.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
    • Lead pricing discussions and negotiations to maximize profitability.
    • Represent MemoParts at industry events and trade shows.
    • Support internal teams by providing market insights and customer feedback.
    • Collaborate with leadership on forecasting, sales planning, and growth initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and sales best practices.
    Requirements
    • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in diesel engine parts sales, preferably in rental equipment, construction, oil & gas, or ground support.
    • Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
    • Sales Expertise: Deep understanding of sales cycles, account management, and B2B sales.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Salesforce, and PowerBI.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data and market trends to drive strategy.
    • Independence: Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of managing priorities effectively.
    • Travel Requirement: Up to 75% travel, including customer visits, industry events, and trade shows.
    • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
    • Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
    Physical Demands & Work Environment
    • Office and field-based role requiring prolonged periods of computer work and customer visits.
    • Exposure to shop environments with loud noise, extreme temperatures, dirt, and dust.
    • Frequent travel by car and air as needed.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
