    CHAS Health is looking for a passionate Dental Hygienist to join their team. Here are the details:

    Pay Range:
    $92,086 - $131,293 USD Annually (based on FTE status)

    Purpose of the Role:
    Help enhance the health of our communities by offering oral health care to both adults and children. Here's what you'll be doing:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct dental cleanings, scalings, and prophylaxis under a Dentist's supervision.
    • Apply preventive materials like sealants and fluoride to teeth.
    • Administer local anesthesia.
    • Place permanent and provisional restorations.
    • Take x-rays as necessary.
    • Document oral evaluations on dental charts.
    • Provide oral hygiene instructions, dietary advice, and dental care information.
    • Support dental providers and clinical staff, including sterilization.
    • Contribute to setting and meeting provider productivity standards.
    • Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and represent CHAS Health at events.
    • Treat patients with respect, ensure confidentiality, and align with CHAS Health's Mission and Core Values.

    Requirements:

    Education/Experience:
    Must have graduated from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program. Previous experience in a community dental clinic is preferred. Must hold a valid hygienist licensure from Washington State Department of Health or Idaho Board of Dentistry. Credentialing through relevant agencies required.

    Idaho clinics:

    Must possess or be eligible to obtain an extended access dental hygiene restorative endorsement through the Idaho Board of Dentistry within a year of hire.


    Skills:
    Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Compassion for patients is a must. Ability to work in a team, multitask, and anticipate needs is required. Computer proficiency and knowledge in surgical and restorative dental assisting are necessary. Commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment is vital. BLS (CPR/AED) certification and a valid driver's license are mandatory.


    Physical Demands:


    Hygienists are expected to stand, sit, and be mobile for varying durations. Manual dexterity is crucial, including reaching and handling. Some physical activities like climbing, kneeling, and stooping are involved. Good communication skills, including talking and hearing, are important. Lifting up to 10 pounds may be required. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
