ROLE
As part of our growing North America Sales team, you will have a key role in building our business in the US market, our number one priority market
Your key objective will be to identify potential customers and lead the sales process in order to build a network of leads, and sign contracts in the US.
Both independently and with the aid of the US team, the Strategic Business Development Manager will be capable of using their previous experience to drive new business for Akur8 in the US market.
Define and implement a sales strategy adapted to your named account list/territory
Identify and source new prospects for Akur8 in the US and actively manage follow-ups until booking a demo meeting
Understand the prospects' business context and potential pain points
Pitch the Akur8 product in front of a variety of audiences - from technical audiences to high level business stakeholders
Manage the successful delivery of pilots
Craft and negotiate the terms of commercial proposals
Build strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic prospects and clients
Think out of the box, suggest new ideas and approaches to improve our product, based on customer feedback and market insights
You will be based out of our office in New York City, but travelling frequently for business development events or client meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for experienced professionals who can demonstrate a proven track record in business development/sales positions for complex products with long sales cycle, a passion for challenges, new market ventures, fast moving organizations and out of the box thinking:
You have 2-5 years of experience in strategic roles either in enterprise sales, partnerships or other commercial roles introducing new products to existing or new markets in a B2B environment
Experience with SaaS products is a plus
You have experience with prospecting outreach and lead generation, ideally for SaaS products
You possess the level-head required to close business with a long sales cycle
You have demonstrated the ability to manage and execute complex transactions from start to finish
You work as well independently as in teams
You possess excellent communication skills oral, written, and non-verbal and you know how to make complex things feel simple
You have a 'pioneer' mindset, and like opening new markets, possessing the agility and adaptability required to open doors and interact with technical teams
You are proactive, curious, and action-oriented
You are highly enthusiastic about technology
You love travelling and would be open to spending some time in our Paris office

You must possess an employment status that will allow work from our New York City office.
