Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
The 6 positions will be located at 2100 Charlie Hall Blvd, Charleston, SC 29414.
Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for the Crisis Stabilization Unit under general supervision of the Medical Director.
Provide an initial PMA to every newly admitted patient within 24 hours including but not limited to proper documentation. On-site rounding on weekends and specified holidays. Provide medical support to the nursing staff and be on-call to the unit on a scheduled basis.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:Graduation of an approved school of medicine and completion of three years residency and two years experience in psychiatric programs. Successful completion of written American Boards (Part II) may be substituted for one year of experience.
Agency (DMH) Minimum Requirements: Licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina. Completion of at least 2 years of residency in psychiatry.
