Make every drop of your potential count. An exciting opportunity has arisen in our business-critical Tactical Operations Team in Lincoln for an Alarm Handler.

    What will you be doing?

As an Alarm Handler, you will use telemetry interrogation and analysis, to ensure all of our Water and Water Recycling assets are operating at peak performance, using one of the largest telemetry systems in Europe.

You will respond to our 700,000 alarm points that are monitored 24/7.

These alarms alert us when our operational assets require attention, whether it's a broken pump in a sewage treatment site or a potential gas leak.

You'll join the hard-working team which monitors the complex telemetry system which we rely on to keep the business informed and the region safe.

The role holder will be responsible for the deployment of high priority work directly to internal operational stakeholders as well as external agencies out in the field, ensuring that any issues are identified as soon as possible and resolved within our agreed service level agreements.

    What do you need?

Training will be provided through a portfolio of classroom training, mentoring, and assessments, working towards completion of our industry-leading License to Operate, which has C&G accreditation.

You will also benefit from a pay progression framework, for development within the role.

We are looking for adaptable, positive and capable individuals who share our ethos of getting the job done, whilst understanding the need to do it safely, ensuring we as a company meet our industry-set Operational Delivery Incentives (ODI's).

In this energetic role, you must enjoy working at a fast pace and be experienced in managing conflicting priorities, with a proactive and collaborative attitude.

You will enjoy overcoming challenges and not be afraid to challenge in order to improve how we work.

Ideally educated to A Level standard or equivalent, you will develop a strong working knowledge of an operational support environment, with an opportunity to understand and experience operational risk mitigation.

Our ideal candidate will be skilled in IT, with particular emphasis on data gathering, manipulation and analysis through software such as Excel, SAP and Telemetry.

Furthermore, experience of operational situational awareness would be an advantage.

Previous experience in telemetry is not required as extensive training will be provided for this specialist role.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work a 12 hour shift pattern covering a 24/7 Rota.

As a valued employee, you'll be entitled to:

    • Full private healthcare with no excess
    • 25 days leave, rising with service + Bank Holidays, with the option to swap Christmas and Easter holidays for those celebrated by your religion
    • A flexible working culture
    • Competitive pension scheme - we double-match your contributions up to 6%
    • Life Assurance at eight times your salary
