    Are you ready to join the Brown Safety Consulting team? We are a safety consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area that specializes in providing full-time safety professionals for general and specialty contractors construction projects.

    Our clients have a need for safety professionals to provide safety oversight on multiple construction projects in DC, MD, VA, and NJ.

    We are looking for qualified safety professionals of all experience levels to join our team. Our safety consultants are expected to integrate with the client's project team and manage the clients site-specific safety program.

    They will be required to provide safety oversight on the project and need to be competent to perform the following:

    Identify and mitigate hazards
    Develop and review JHAs
    Conduct safety inspections
    Lead morning safety briefing
    Lead weekly toolbox talks
    Lead safety stand downs
    Coach and mentor employees
    Promote a positive safety culture
    Implement the hierarchy of controls
    Participate in progress meetings
    Conduct site safety orientations
    conduct incident investigations

    Required Certification:
    Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or
    Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or

    Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or
    Graduate Safety Professional (GSP)
    OSHA 500 Construction Outreach Instructor


    Preferred Certifications:
    EM hour
    NFPA 70E
    National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO)


    Job Types:

    $ $55.00 per hour

    Have you completed OSHA 30 Hour for Construction training?

    Do you have a bachelors or associate degree in Safety and Health?
    Do you have experience developing and reviewing job hazard analysis?
    Are you an authorized OSHA construction outreach instructor (OSHA 500)?
    Are you able to work out of town for 6-12 months assignments?
    Do you have a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification?
    Do you have a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification?

    Education:
    High school or equivalent (Required)

    3 years (Required)

    Shift availability:
    Day Shift (Preferred)
    Night Shift (Preferred)
