- Facilitates the production of building products meeting high standards of quality, safety, and environmental accountability.
- Develops staffing guidelines in collaboration with plant leadership to optimize human resources utilization effectively.
- Provides leadership and training to team members, evaluates performance, and conducts regular shift meetings.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts including 5S and cost reduction initiatives.
- Offers technical guidance and training in various areas to shift personnel.
- Identifies career advancement opportunities for associates and supports their professional growth.
- Interviews and recommends candidates for hire.
- Oversees line operations, schedules, and documentation completion.
- Responds promptly to production or shipping needs.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations and addresses any safety issues.
- Administers company policies consistently and fairly.
- Coaches and provides corrective action following guidelines.
- Promotes company goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Drives continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
- Performs other assigned duties.
- Strong communication skills for educating and training staff.
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and mentor associates.
- Proficiency in extrusion operation and quality standards.
- Knowledge of 5S principles and STOP protocol.
- Mathematical and mechanical proficiency.
- Ability to read calipers and measuring devices.
- Knowledge of PVC resin/compound blending (preferred in some locations).
- Experience with fenestration processes may be required.
- Excellent attendance, bilingual skills a plus.
