    Responsibilities

    Through the use of evidenced based practices the California Behavioral Health Clinic provides outpatient school and community based services to children and families. We strive to bring a culturally sensitive and informed approach to our service delivery and are looking for additional clinicians to expand our engagement in the community.     The Mental Health Clinician will operate in accordance with all regulations and standards of the State of California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and the Department of Child and Family Services. Supervision by a licensed clinical supervisor in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners will be provided. The Clinician provides high quality outpatient mental health services and in-home counseling for children and their families in the form of individual child and family therapy groups and home-based child welfare services. He/she will display professional skills in diagnosis and assessment case management treatment planning psychotherapy and utilization review.

    Qualifications

    Experience and Education:

  • One year's experience in an academic internship delivering outpatient mental health services.
  • . degree in Social Work Psychology or related field.

  • Spanish language skills preferred
  • Valid registration with the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners as an MFT Intern or Associate Social Worker or registration with the Board of Psychology as a Registered Psychologist within the first 30 days of employment.
