Job Responsibilities...
Be a Team Player: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team, communicate effectively, and adapt to business needs to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of business operations, backroom procedures, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation and maintenance; prepare (cut, grind, wrap, trim) meat products according to established standards; cut boneless meat products; and maintain product quality standards. Be a Tech-Savvy Associate: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; and stay up-to-date on new tools and encourage others to do the same. Be an Owner: Ensure operational excellence by maintaining work areas according to company policies and procedures; ensure quality and date control standards for meat products; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products; execute tasks at the highest possible level of quality; and demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
