- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of equipment, including steam turbines, heat exchangers, electric power distribution, compressed air, reverse osmosis, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure the long-term reliability of the plant
- Adhere to lockout tagout (LOTO) protocols to isolate and secure energy sources and prevent accidental reactivation during maintenance
- Identify and diagnose operational issues, and collaborate with the maintenance team to implement effective solutions
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems and restore operations swiftly
- Monitor the plant's equipment and systems to ensure they are operating within specified parameters
- Respond to alarms, diagnose issues, and take corrective actions to maintain uninterrupted energy production
- Execute the combined startup and shutdown procedures for utility systems and plant equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation
- Adhere to safety protocols, follow best practices, and promote a safety-first work culture in the plant
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and take necessary measures to minimize environmental impacts
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repair activities, and operations activities
- Generate reports as required for compliance and performance analysis
- Work closely with other plant staff to achieve plant goals and objectives
- Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing to stay up to date on industry best practices and technological advancements
- Follow emergency procedures in the event of accidents, equipment failures, or power outages
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in operations & maintenance of cogeneration, powerhouse, or power generation
- Knowledge of steam generators, electrical power distribution, compressed air, reverse osmosis and/or other powerhouse/central utility plant equipment
