Description

As an O&M Technician at the cogeneration plant, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of various powerhouse equipment and systems including electric power distribution, steam turbines, compressed air & reverse osmosis. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine operational tasks to maintain peak performance, safety & environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

???? Equipment Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of equipment, including steam turbines, heat exchangers, electric power distribution, compressed air, reverse osmosis, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure the long-term reliability of the plant
• Adhere to lockout tagout (LOTO) protocols to isolate and secure energy sources and prevent accidental reactivation during maintenance

???? Troubleshooting

• Identify and diagnose operational issues, and collaborate with the maintenance team to implement effective solutions
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems and restore operations swiftly

???? Plant Equipment Operation

• Monitor the plant's equipment and systems to ensure they are operating within specified parameters
• Respond to alarms, diagnose issues, and take corrective actions to maintain uninterrupted energy production
• Execute the combined startup and shutdown procedures for utility systems and plant equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation

???? Safety and Environmental Compliance

• Adhere to safety protocols, follow best practices, and promote a safety-first work culture in the plant
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and take necessary measures to minimize environmental impacts

???? Record-Keeping

• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repair activities, and operations activities
• Generate reports as required for compliance and performance analysis

???? Team Collaboration

• Work closely with other plant staff to achieve plant goals and objectives
• Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing to stay up to date on industry best practices and technological advancements

???? Emergency Response

• Follow emergency procedures in the event of accidents, equipment failures, or power outages

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years experience in operations & maintenance of cogeneration, powerhouse, or power generation
• Knowledge of steam generators, electrical power distribution, compressed air, reverse osmosis and/or other powerhouse/central utility plant equipment
