    The Department of Internal Medicine, University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama is looking for a full time board eligible/board certified nephrologist. Applicants with credentials to support the rank of assistant, associate or full professor will be considered. The Division of Nephrology participates in care of the end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patient, pre-ESRD patients, inpatient and outpatient nephrology consultations and attends regularly on inpatient general internal medicine teaching services at our hospital. In addition, this position will assist with Medical Director responsibilities for several local dialysis units in town.

    We seek applicants with an understanding of the medical educational, clinical, and administrative issues for internal medicine residents and 1st-4th year medical students at a small medical school. Successful applicants will assist with the residency program needs, inpatient general medicine services (both independently and with residents), and quality improvement programs. There are expectations for career advancement through the academic promotions process. At this time, we are unable to support VISA needs.
