    Responsible for sales, business development, lead generation, pursuit planning, and capture management for US & select international Armed Services.

    This strategic position will manage the Polaris Government & Defense Armed Services business development team and budget to create a world-class and winning portfolio of vehicle solutions for government & allied military customers around the world.

    The position will create & manage opportunities globally for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and commercial sales within North America.

    As a key member of the Polaris Government & Defense leadership team, the Armed Services Business Development Manager is an integral part of the corporate Long-Range Planning (LRP), Long Range Product Planning (LRPP), and budget planning processes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Establish and maintain a deep understanding of US and Foreign Armed Services customer value propositions, operational and sustainment needs, and future plans/ strategies.

    Lead an experienced, effective, and efficient sales, business development, and pursuit team that optimally aligns Polaris solutions to customer needs and opportunities
    Work closely and collaboratively with all matrixed support functions to deliver profitable growth and long-term value, while creating synergistic productivity improvements in a commercial resource environment
    In collaboration with Polaris Government and Defense Program Management and Engineering Teams, develop short, mid-, and long- range strategic and tactical execution plans

    Periodically assess customer/ stakeholder leadership, personnel, organizational structure, policies, budgets, law, and contracts to maintain competitive advantage in light tactical mobility space.

    Lead capture management and proposal teams to win new contract opportunities with Armed Services
    Partner with Polaris Corporate Government Relations team, as well as, Polaris Government & Defense resources to contribute, develop, and assist in the overall government relations strategy

    Lead pursuit development for all FMS sales opportunities in regular and close collaboration with Polaris Government & Defense International BD & Program Teams.

    Review and refine Polaris BD processes to align with customer trends and corporate strengths/ capabilities
    Partner closely with Polaris Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and ILS Teams to foster a culture of productivity and accountability to the benefit of our customers & corporate stakeholders
    Required Skills and Experiences
    B.A/B.S. degree in a related field, or equivalent in previous experience
    Minimum 10 years of military, defense, or directly relevant business experience, including previous experience with military or federal government accounts and/or requirements management

    Strong track record of experience, success, and subject matter expertise with an extensive contacts' network, including positive personal network/contacts across the government and defense enterprise, and in particular, the U.S.

    Armed Services. Ability to travel responsively and regularly in order to effectively execute the dynamic, complex, and diverse scope of the portfolio
    International defense BD experience; preferably involving FMS/ U.S. Security Assistance Funding
    Deep understanding of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations and contract vehicles used by defense contractors and commercial companies.
    Proven technical aptitude to understand Polaris products and communicate technical attributes related to the products
    Strong leadership and strategic planning skills

    M.S., MBA, or other graduate or professional degree in a relevant field
    Previous BD or Program Management in the defense tactical wheeled vehicle space
