- Make guided decisions to support the primary objective of safe production.
- Maintain and operate concentrator equipment
- Perform detailed inspections of operating equipment and operational areas
- Assist with maintenance activities
- Complete area housekeeping duties
- Learn and understand basic metallurgical milling principles
- Perform other tasks as assigned Mill Operator Trainee Position Requirements
- Three (3) months work experience
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude.
The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required.
This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety. - Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Knowledge of milling, crushing and conveying equipment. Including operating parameters, limits and functionality of equipmentThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $20.00 – $26.50/hour.
