    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract at a Level I Trauma acute care facility in Fargo, ND.

    Responsibilities

    • Cardiac Cath Lab setting within an acute care, Level I Trauma hospital
    • Unit consists of 8 cath lab rooms and 1 procedure room
    • Procedures include left/right heart caths, PCI (rotablader, shockwave), pericardiocentesis, IABP/Impella insertion and removal, peripheral vascular, pacemaker/ICD/loop recorder implants and removals, PFO/ASD closure, and neuro and vascular endograft angiograms and interventions
    • EP ablations and structural heart cases are possible depending on candidate experience
    • EMR systems used include Epic, CUPID, and GE MAC Lab/Cardio Lab
    • 8 or 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
    • One late shift and one call shift per week, with call rotation every 3rd to 4th weekend as part of a 4-person call team
    • No floating to other units or departments
    • EP experience (ablations) is preferred but not required
    • Orientation is 1–2 days with an assigned mentor, tailored to the candidate's level of experience
    • Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this prior employment; a minimum 6-month gap from their end date is required for consideration
    • Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a adjusted pay rate
    • Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility
    • All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility

    Requirements

    • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a CVT or Rad Tech in a cardiac cath lab setting
    • RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (R) certification required
    • BLS (AHA) required
    • Candidates holding ARRT will need to obtain an NDMIRT license prior to start
    • Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac angiograms, interventions, pacemaker/device cases, and peripheral vascular procedures
    • Proficiency with coronary stent interventions and sterile technique
    • Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles including positioning, image processing, quality control, and radiation protection
    • 2 references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years in the specialty
    • Active certifications and license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
