    Overview of the Role:


    This position is responsible for the management of projects undertaken by a Business Unit in a manner that ensures their alignment with the Business Unit's strategic objectives.

    The Project Manager interacts with senior managers, executives, and outside stakeholders to establish innovation visions and new product strategies consistent with the growth objectives.

    The focus of this position will be on new product development and innovation.

    This position works with product design managers and cross functional teams (who are responsible for the execution of certain aspects of projects) to monitor cost, schedules, human resource needs, and technical performance of components within the projects and operations.


    Specific Responsibilities:
    Regular attendance and punctuality required
    Champion and manage an entire cadre of development projects with a total development cost of approximately $250K - $500K.

    Project management includes the estimation of time requirements internally and with vendors, the development of schedules of action items and responsible parties, tracking schedule completion, adjusting where necessary, and communicating adjustments when deemed appropriate.

    Additionally, is responsible for the documentation of all project parameters (ROI, BOM, benchmarking, testing, regulatory requirements, spending, etc.)
    Responsible for supervision and guidance to all assigned staff while supporting teamwork and interpersonal relationships. This includes the coordination of human resource requirements and assigned project segments with product design managers and cross functional team members; as well as coaching, leading, and supporting those directly reporting to the position

    Responsible for preparation of capital expenditure requests; recommendation, specification, approval and costing of equipment, components, labor, and tooling; control of spending; managing and administering the budget; and ensuring achievement of benefit objectives.

    Responsible for research and assessment of technological and project management advancements which are applicable within assigned business unit in terms of innovation, new products, product extensions, project management methodologies, and, where advantageous, converting these ideas into business results


    Requirements:
    Bachelor of Science Degree (Mechanical/Electrical engineering preferred) combined with 5 plus years of experience in project / program management, and engineering activities
    1 to 3 years to relevant project management experience required
