    RDTS is looking for an Acquisition Specialist to support the National Science Foundation (NSF) in Alexandria, VA. This Acquisition Specialist shall have experience in small acquisitions and micro-purchases with a focus on IT products and services within the federal government sector. Support shall include, but may not be limited to:

    • Demonstrate 6+ years of experience in micro-purchases and small acquisition support with a focus on IT products and services within the federal government sector. Strong knowledge of FAR Parts 8, 10, 12, and 13 required;
    • Assist with drafting and maintaining annual tracking, planning, and analysis worksheets (process work plan) for about 200+ annual (FY) renewals for both Government Purchase Card transactions and purchase/delivery orders;
    • Develop draft renewal worksheets for intake packages;
    • Assist, schedule, and support intake interview sessions with each technical Point of Contact (PoC) upon request;
    • Assist technical PoCs with market research for their potential product/service requirements;
    • Assist PoCs to draft justifications and complete federal procurement required forms or other documents for requisition packages;
    • Manage all agency database postings, ad hoc, and generate reports, esp. in Microsoft SharePoint;
    • Monitor and report the status of market research and package progress. Ensure that packages remain on pre-determined schedules for their timely completions and escalate issues to the appropriate DIS Government lead when packages may or fall behind on their progress;
    • Assist technical PoCs with verifying that proposals (or quotes) are consistent with the requisition packages; and identify variations, inconsistencies, or comments in writing;
    • Successfully work collaboratively with DIS technical, Purchase Card, and Small Acquisition leads and identify identical, conflicting, related, and dependent activities and purchases between the micro purchase and small acquisition programs;
    • Work with PMO Budget team to review and reconcile data from acquisition databases used for budget forecasts and preparations;
    • Assist with executing the initiation or renewal of InterAgency Agreements with other federal agencies;
    • Demonstrate knowledge of the Continuous Diagnostic Monitoring (CDM) InterAgency Agreement (IAA) and assist to verify and execute the transition of DIS products to this IAA;
    • Prepare draft guidance documents; conduct ad-hoc, informal training sessions and provide desk-side support for acquisition processes and automated tools with points of contacts (PoCs);
    • Provide accurate ad-hoc and weekly reports; and input to other contract deliverables as necessary.
    This position is primarily remote with occasional visits to the office in Alexandria.

    Requirements
    • At least 4 years of experience in micro purchases and small acquisition support, specifically with IT products and services within the federal government.
    • Strong knowledge of FAR Parts 8, 10, 12, and 13.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of the Continuous Diagnostic Monitoring (CDM) InterAgency Agreement (IAA) and assist to verify and execute the transition of DIS products to this IAA.
