    Responsibilities

    Committing to an 8 or 12 consecutive week assignment
    Scheduled for a minimum of 40 hours per week or 80 hours per pay period, subject to working weekends during the commitment period (where applicable)
    Complying with on-call requirements and shifts (where applicable)
    Complete hospital/CST/computer orientation and credentialing with minimal unit orientation as needed
    Required to work holidays during their agreement period
    Expected to work all scheduled shifts as assigned unless cancelled by the Staffing Office, department manager, and/or House Supervisor
    Expected to participate in all mandatory education
    Evaluated by and held accountable for performance based on the standard hospital job descriptions for their respective position

    Qualifications


    Minimum Requirements:
    Current CST certification from NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting)
    Minimum of 1 year experience (within the last 2 years) as a CST in a hospital setting in the selected area
    Current BLS and all other required certifications per guidelines

    Preferred Job Requirements:
    Associate's degree
    Three (3) years previous surgical experience
